About
About & masthead
Weekly American publishes America-First News: opinion and analysis on the decisions in Washington, in the economy and around the world that directly affect Americans. Topics that matter. Unity that strengthens America.
Our mission
We start from a simple premise: the first question about any policy, election or event abroad is what it means for the American people. Their jobs, their savings, their safety and their freedoms come first.
We believe Americans are better served by clear arguments built on accurate facts than by outrage. We write to inform, to persuade with evidence, and to find the common ground that holds the country together.
What we cover
- U.S. Politics
- Washington, the states, and the decisions that shape daily American life.
- Economics
- Jobs, prices, trade, and the money decisions that reach American households.
- Foreign Affairs
- World events, read for what they mean at home.
- Opinion
- Signed arguments from our writers and contributors.
How we work
- Facts first. Every factual claim should rest on a primary source, a public record or a reputable outlet, and we link to it where we can.
- Clearly labeled. Every piece is filed under one section, shown at the top of the article. Pieces in Opinion are the views of their authors. Pieces from the Editorial Board are the publication's view.
- Open about mistakes. When we get something wrong, we correct it and add a dated note at the end of the article. We don't quietly rewrite the record.

Ownership and independence
Weekly American is independently owned and published. It accepts no funding from political parties, campaigns, or foreign governments.
